As one of the founding members of Blue Forest Collective, I’m currently working with Daniel Clarke to bring his feature film Kariba to the big screen.
Inspired by the mysterious events surrounding the destruction of the Kariba Dam in Zimbabwe in the late 1950’s, our story follows the journey of Siku, a young girl who discovers that she is the daughter of the great Nyami Nyami, the spirit of the Zambezi river.
We recently raised over US $40,000 on Kickstarter for the graphic novel version of the project, which has made it the most successful crowd funding comic and animation project in Africa at the time. We’re aiming to ship the book in mid 2017.
Preorder the comic here.
